I had to manually copy the winsock.dll that came with the IAK over to the
directory that contained Trumpet Winsock. The were no parameters to
hange".

I've done the same thing. The problem is that OS/2's Winsock is not smart
enough to call the dialer and fire that up ala "linkup.exe".

Hmmm. How about an example. There is no SET ETC line in my autoexec.bat for
either OS/2 or DOS (it remains on this machine because several programs
require installation under read DOS).

If he is running only NetScape Navigator, then using the Windows version of
Winsock is recommended by IBM. If he is running OS/2 applications requiring
the use of the TCP/IP stack, then using the OS/2 version is recommended.
Straight from the FAQ at IBM.

Ok. The appropriate changes must be made for use of the IAK that comes with
Warp!. The path statment is correct, but the ETC path is \TCPIP\ETC.

Hmmm. I've been to Netscape's home page, and no mention of "security holes"
was made there. A little more information please. I would like to know
about that because the minimum key size for 2.02E is 128 bits.

Yes, but can a student use Secure Web Browser for free? Can a Not for Profit
Organization obtain a site license for free? No, well I can do both with
Netscape. Of course, I can go down to my local computer retailer and they
can sell me, off the shelf, Netscape Gold 2.0 and plan on selling Netscape
Gold 3.0 for $39.99. Oh well, IBM's marketing strikes again. The need to
get shelf space so that they can sell.
