In a message I had archived from last month & just got around to seeing,
you told Francois Piette you hadn't been able to find the answer to a
question about modifying a program manager group file in the
documentation.
I think I ran across it in the on-line help for the Windows API: try
searching for references to PROGMAN.EXE: a very helpful, and long item
is titled "Shell Dynamic-Data Exchange Interface Overview (3.1)", with a
number of links to other material therein.
good luck. I have a quick-and-dirty DOS program that will write a
pre-made group file into PROGMAN.INI, which forces Windows to recognize
it, if you'd rather go that route to an installation.
