By the time that Ikano Kato (The Golden Age Kato) came into the picture,
Tonto, assuming he was still alive in the late 1930's would have been a very
old man by that time era. I am uncertain as to what time era Lone Ranger
and Tonto operated, but considering that Tonto is the same age as The
Original Green Hornet's Granduncle, Tonto would be old enough to be The Green
Hornet's Grandfather. So can you see an Indian about 85 years old teaming up
with a Japanese who is about 25, to save The Green Hornet that would be about
35? Hardly realistic!
Perhaps have one of the youngest sons of Tonto's (establishing that he had
several children over a long stretch of time) team-up with the Original Kato
to rescue the Hornet.
I would love to see modern day descendants of The Lone Ranger & Tonto go into
operation in todays world in honor of their respective predecessors. Perhaps
instead of horses, they could ride on a Silver Platted motorcycle called
"Silver", and a Painted Motorcycle called "Scout". :-)
