Better than zero traffic in the echo, though, I think. Since Sally is
already in Alabama and waiting for me to join her, I've been keeping an
eye out for the coupons which come in the paper and the mail. This was
Popeye's chicken, 3 pc special, leg, wing and thigh, plus a biscuit,
for $2.49 with coupon - - loaded with grease, and with honey for the
biscuit and I got 3 pouches of Lousiana Hot Sauce for squirting over the
chicken. I think I need to eat more veggies, but tough when
cooking for just one. I think local grocery stores have some nice green
beans for 99 cents a pound, so maybe I should buy a mess of those and
cook them up and eat those 3 meals a day for awhile.

But, speaking of sweet corn and trout - - you ever taken your grandkids
to one of those "trout farms" - where they have those rainbow trout in a
pond fed by water from an adjacent flowing stream?

The bait used there is single kernel canned corn (maize to Brits and
Aussies?)- - like "Niblits" Anyway, the fish are already all "chummed
up", and it is akin to shooting fish in a barrel - - you can see the
fish coming by, and kinda pick which fish you might want to catch. That
is not for me, but the kids had a great time. Our kids were like 3 and
6 at the time, but I did make one mistake - - somehow our son caught a
"big one" - - if I had been there, I could have pulled the
"bait" out of
his path. And then, of course the younger daughter also wanted to catch
a "big one" also. So we ended up with more of a panful fish-fry than we
could eat that evening, and had to bring some of it back to Florida with
us.

Not that I mind eating delicious fresh or even fresh-frozen fish, but
seems like I'm the one allus gotta cook it because Sally's mom was
supposedly "Pennsylvania Dutch" and the only fish dish they ever had
when Sally was growing up was salmon croquettes or something disgusting
like that, maybe canned tuna fish salad.

Anybody who has ever eaten real salmon or real tuna, not out of a can,
will be glad to tell you that the canned version is a pale imitation of
the real thing. Full circle - just like canned corn versus real
fresh sweet corn right off the ear.
