I wouldn't call it "real driving" in the midst of the driving
rain. It's more like yachting, hence the term "land yacht"; a
term that applies equally well to brand new VW beetles as it does to 70's
Pontiac Catalinas in Vancouver. Both will rust out just as fast there.

The last time I visited that city, my aunt's greeting was "welcome to
Vancouver", as she handed me an umbrella. My shoes never dried out for
the following three days that I was there. It's a real nice place in the
non-monsoon season... unfortunately that only lasts about a week or so.
