No, that is not correct. You have two choices. First, you can copy the executable to a different file and modify that, or you can use a separate program to modify the executable. LIST for OS/2 does the former, Pro-YAM does the latter. The two cases aren't really equivalent. LIST saves configuration information to the executable (a bad idea no matter what the operating system) while Pro-YAM saves the registration code in the executable so that you can get updates through the Omen, Inc BBS. - Jon --- GoldED/2 2.42.G0214* Origin: The Wandering Programmer Comes Home (1:106/2000.25) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 30883/25 106/2000 449 116 170/400 280/1 396/1 3615/50 @PATH: 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
