But OS2PROG is for talking about developing FOR OS/2, not developing UNDER
OS/2.  I'm sure that Peter Fitzsimmons (if he was paying attention) would
tell you this.  I just said it because I saw a couple dozen messages from
you that day and NONE of them talked about developing FOR OS/2.

The reason is simple:  DOS and Windows apps are, well, DOS and Windows
apps. When people talk about programming DOS and Windows apps, what they
talk about are the techniques used to produce DOS and Windows apps.  There
are a number of echoes where that sort of discussion is welcome.  However,
WE want to talk about those tools and techniques useful for developing
native OS/2 programs. That is why we are here.  That is what this echo is
for.

Now, I will grant you that there are some specialized techniques used for
writing DOS programs running under OS/2, and we talk about those
occasionally, but if you want to talk about generic Windows development,
(under OS/2 or not---it's exactly the same from a Windows' programmer's
perspective) why not try WINDOWS.PROG?  They're more likely to have
information of use to you.

Be as friendly toward OS/2 as you like, but my question remains:  If you
aren't going to talk about OS/2 development, why are you here?
