My "guess" is that it was an event similar to mixing hydrogen peroxide and
potassium permanganate. When two elements of that nature come together, a
violent action occurs and somebody, somewhere HAS to see it, otherwise it
would go by undetected. Those Black Holes are simply going to have to be
more selective in the future about what they swallow.
