Do you have Jiffy-Dos ROM's installed in your computer ?
If not, then this is the first step. (it makes it easy to move around
the HD too).

There are some programs (not many) that are slow loading because of
very innefficient coding. There's not much you can do about these.

The Jiffy-Dos roms will increase the loading times of most programs by
5-7 times.
