The hidden thing only can be part of the problem, as the scsi systems I
spoke about had no Windy and had only blank disks.

It could well be eCS 1.0 doesn't have that problem. Me thinks, better
than loosing your precious time, why not just install 1.0? The eCS
preview would do as well, maybe even better. In the end , it's that what
I did, and I just put a W4 desktop back using Unimaint (not for me, that
was for Mensys customers left behind in the cold).
Meanwile, enjoy the deafening silence coming from .... well, you know.

About the "untouchable", maybe it could be wiped out by booting from a
self made bootable cd (Hayo Baan's bootable for instance). Maybe DFsee
also could help - there is a Dos-bootable Cd now. And it sees all right
the hpfs partitions etc..

Adventurous as I am, I've ordered a Thinkpad T40p too, but with _BLANK_
80 Giga disk. I think I'll just clone my actual W4 formation to it.
