subject: Re: DVD-RW UDF support

Hi Mark,

Models that support DVD-RAM are "special" or
"exotic" if you like. I think any current model produced in the
last year or so that support DVD-R & DVD-RW (and even the newer dual
standard models that support DVD+R & DVD+RW as well) use a common
(extended-mmc ?) format, so all should give similar results.

I personally went for a Pioneer as I know it's pretty common (and it's
one of the cheaper models). I have the DVR-105 (OEM version of the
DVR-A05). I have heard that others have had success with LG, Sony and later
Pioneer models.

I use RSJ and now simply the OS/2 UDF support with mine. By the way
CD-RW's in the DVD-RW drive work fine as well.

 Cheers/2

  Ed.
