Hate to say it Ray but there's no way a virus can do that to your floppy
drive.
Maybe you already had a hardware fault, but a virus depending on that is a
pretty lame virus, after all, how many FDD's that you know of are stuffed in
this way, without being so stuffed they have quit working.

No, it isn't. You can not make a virus come back to life. Period. If, as
you say, the clean boot disk was infected, then again I say you never got rid
of the virus, you just thought you had. And no, you can absolutely not
e-mail bomb ansi code. You can make a bat file trojan that does, but that
depends on stupid users that allow this to happen. And has nothing to do
with someone writing you a message.
