Kris, I beg to differ.  It is not an eCS 1.1 installer matter.  My opinion is
that it is a LVM issue with either:

1...unique (new) motherboards ...or
2...unique hard drive/motherboard/Int13 thingy!

Why??  I can install 1.1 just fine below the 1024 (old) bios limit.  That's
to say LVM works perfect mapping many volumes to the entire HDD,
creating the IBM boot mgr....etc...etc.  LVM /query show all in good shape
and in the right places.  Thus, the eCS 1.1 installer works to completion
here under the 1024 boundary.

Why LVM can create a volume at the 10mb position of the HDD and then
NOT be able to make it bootable is unknown....and IS the bug here.
