I'm noticing that slapping 4-8 XP computers together, plain old peer-peer,
TCP only, no fiddling with browse masters or NETBEUI, is becoming
increasingly painful.  Even with firewalls off, if the machines have never
seen each other, or, worse, have seen each other in different combinations
the previous week, it can take a couple of reboots and FORTY-FIVE MINUTES
to have a network.

This is progress?
