I then bought RSJ for OS/2 and have used nothing else since. To my mind it's idiotproof, virtually a no-brainer once you have an ATAPI drive at least, and let the RSJ software discover it automagically using lockcdr.flt RSJ also has a test-mode, but I only ever used it once, to see what it did. I only ever [first day or so of usage] had one failed attempt, that was with a CD-R, that I didn't get to finalise, due to a power outage prior to completion, so that in addition to the 300MB that is readable, there was about another 300MB written to but inaccessible on that disc. The remainder of the test facility you mention are all part and parcel of RSJ's regular procedures, I leave my writing parameters set to maximum speed for normal data-CD-use, Audio is burned at a slower rate. I'm very happy with RSJ, and can burn to that OS/2-eCS mounted drive from a LAN-attached W98 Laptop or a W2KPro drive on another system. Have also burned CD-size digital videos transferred over TCP/IP from my daughter's Mac i-Book No problem burning ISO images - DFSee Bootable-CD etc, cloning CDs. RSJ lets you treat a writeable CD just like a regular, albeit slower HDU, though the 52x seems pretty fast to me, so you can use a good complement of command-line executables with it as well as full WPS drag'n'drop facilities. -- Regards, Mike Failed the exam for -------------------- MCSE - Minesweeper Consultant and Solitaire Expert -------------------- [ISP blocks *.exe, *.cmd, *.bat, *.reg attachments] [Please use zipped versions of above] ------------------------ Yahoo!
