Of course everyone gets burned sometimes. I don't usually count my change but
there are certain shops and certain shopkeepers that I don't trust.

No, but many conspiracy theorists have US federal agencies spending
/millions/ on disinformation campaigns.

I am suggesting that if the US government did have something to hide and uFO
investigators were too close to the mark, the simplest way to discredit them
all would be to create some easily demolished hoaxes and so discredit any
genuine investigators by association.
I will always accept the possibility of anything. I just don't believe
earthhas been visited by aliens until I see some evidence as good as the
evidence that there are orcas in the ocean.
