| subject: | Bugfix SDL |
Hello Paul,
Do you still maintain that USR does nothing about its reported bugs?
Didn't you also suggest that NetComm had a new bugfix flash-ROM code
available for your M34F? So what's happening with yours at the moment
anyway? You've mentioned nothing about the M34F for a few weeks, so what's
happening - are NetComm checking it out for you, or what?
Incidentally, did you notice that USR have provided yet another new feature
in this SDL? No more having to boot from DOS to flash the modem, as it can
now be flashed on ANY platform at all, simply by DLing the code with your
terminal's Xmodem protocol. Tried it here, and it works an absolute treat
too.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Changes and enhancements since 1/23/96:
1. Added AT~X! command to activate Xmodem SDL feature. (See XSDL.TXT)
2. Improved detection of non-standard distinctive ring patterns.
3. Improved detection of distorted ring signals.
4. Extended maximum single-ring "ON" time.
5. Extended ring detector glitch filter time.
6. Corrected operation of %T command (DTMF detection)
7. Corrected intermittent V.17 fax mode data starvation.
8. Corrected intermittent lock-up in V.25bis sync mode.
9. Modified V.25bis sync mode operation in the absence of a "CIC" command
from the DTE. The modem will now honor the S0 register if DIP switch
#5 is OFF.
10. Corrected the Disconnect Reason reported in ATI6 screen after dialing
a busy number, and when aborting a dial attempt prior to transmission
of the last touch-tone digit.
11. Added S29 register to the ATS$ help screen.
[End]
