Across a lan net? Or under an unknown multitasker?

I'm not doing my own multitasking here. Under OS/2 I can, under dos I can't.
I won't have OS/2 on my machine until 3.0 comes out. (2.1 wasn't happy in 4
megs. I liked it, but it just wasn't happy.)
