i think that the idea is to integrate everything onto the motherboard,
intel are heading that way with their most recent chipset which allows main
memory to be used as the video frame buffer. cheap and nasty!

KR> that the cartridges for my stylus colour were $us32 as against $a90,

KR> no the stylus colour uses an s020034 black cart and an s020036 colour cart,
KR> same as the sylus pro.

BG> Oh good, you had me worried for a moment. Yours has C-Y-M-B in the
BG> colour cartridge, while mine is only C-Y-M and relies on a mixture of

yuk, actually it is known as c-m-y-k, dont ask me why (:
KR> i think that calling your model stylus colour 2 is a bit of a marketing
KR> exercise as the original stylus colour has more in common with the pro than
KR> the 2.

BG> Agreed, although whilst the ColorIIs is almost identical in appearance
BG> to the Stylus 820 with colour kit, it has extended its resolution to
BG> 720dpi (like the Color II), and reproduces colour photos superbly (on
BG> coated paper, of course). Sort of an in-between model, I guess.

the coated paper makes a hell of a difference to the contrast, expensive though ):

KR> i haven't tried refilling, i have thought about it, there is a mob from

i could believe that, i'll only go for colour refills as a last resort. on
average, someone that i know would be going to the us every month or so, i
am also hoping to get another trip in the next six months as well.
