What brand did you get? I have an HP CD Writer Plus 7200i which
is waiting on the new computer. I've been shown both Easy CD Creator
and the Spin Doctor thing--had planned to use both. What I need to
find out about is how to get audio (guitar or otherwise) into the
Soundblaster and into a .WAV before going to disc.
Harvey Reid has been recording his fine music to DAT. At the going
prices for writable CDs (as you say, about $2 per), he could go direct
to CD. This HP drive does the re-writable discs, too; but I hear that
one of those might not play on other drives as readily as would the
regular CD-R discs.
The Amp Guy at work (in addition to bringing in his Yamaha 11-string
[one's busted], which took up the first 15 min. of my work day) gave me
a CD of a local guitar dealer's music--complete with cover & liner stuff.
It's sure easier for an artist to get onto disc, at least with local
distribution.
