I used to write DOS programs JDBP> under OS/2 using Borland C++ 3.1 for DOS myself. That is until I got JDBP> hold of an OS/2 compiler and discovered the joy of OS/2 programming. (- I'm trying to convince the shop I work for, AT&T Business Translations to do that. I'm three times more productive on the machine at home then the one at work which is a faster machine. I must admit I'm still using BC 3.1 for DOS, but I'm toying with the idea of getting BC 1.5 for OS/2 or Watcom 10.0.
