I have a LITE-ON DVD+RW LDW-401S combo unit, dvd+rw/r and cd-rw/r.

This drive works very well with RSJ, UDF and cdrecord; no coasters (so
far), is fast,
versatile and virtually noiseless. There is a new model, 411s, that is a combo
dvd-rw/r and dvd+rw/r. I have no experience with their new drive because,
of course,
it came out shortly after I bought my current unit.

I am using Memorex media since it is the cheapest brand locally and it works. Until
this brand fails I will not be experimenting with others.

I would recommend this drive for no other reasons than it works as
advertised and the
price was right.
