Yes...even after 8 years of kindergarten I'm still trying to create a 
classroom environment that is better for kids at that age.  It's 
difficult to do when the only model I have to work from is what I have 
read in books and what I can pick up here and there.  I could spend some 
time in a "master" teacher's class but then I thin one would need to 
spend a great deal of time observing and asking questions.  There is 
never enough time to do this sort of thing (unless of course one makes 
the time and makes sacrifices in other areas).

I tend to agree with this.  I guess one has to wear the shoes that fit 
best.  
We had an emergency staff meeting after school today.  The Super was 
going to be there and attendance was mandatory.  All day long we all 
wondered what was up.  At the meeting we got a bombshell...our not too 
popular principal is resigning in January....I still can't get over it.  
She cried and I felt it was bitter sweet...I hate to see people 
hurting...but I am glad for our school that she is leaving...many 
including myself had lost all confidence in her leadership (or lack of).  
Still it was a stunning moment.
