I was given -> about 20 big 16mm reels by a local TV station that had them in it's -> attic. I got 2 of the 3 Stooges shorts, I also got some -> "Doubledeckers", 4 "Heat of the City" episodes (with Christina -> Applegate) and 4 "William Tell" episodes, from 1954. Also picked up -> some Gumby and Popeye 16mm prints. The station gave stuff to me -> instead of throwing it out. I would think the Stooges would be the -> most valuable. What are they worth, and what are y -> --- GoldED 2.50 -> (1:119/50) unfortunatly, not much. It's mostly what you can get for them. 3 Stooges stuff is/was mass produced, all's availible on video now. the value to a collector (like me) is reliving the old theatre days. video is not real great, compeared to a full screen version. Those tv studio prints are reformated to the stations broadcast screen size, mostly tv screen size, projected on a real projector it would be a smallish picture. I think Blackhawk films owns the stooges now. it's on video for 10.00 for 4 shorts. Now if you had some theatre prints, those go for bettween 10.00 and 5000.00 or so. These you'll need to find a broadcast lens like the tv station used for their projectors. Too bad they don't have the projector unit still around, I'd pay 100.00 for that. I'll offer 50.00 for all the films. The old 16mm had a acidbase that'll turn the film pink or red sooner or later, faster with heat, like a attic.
