Just got back from the Men's Conference in Toronto. Congratulations to
Karen Woudstra for the excellent work she did in organising this great
event.
The conference dealt with many issues from the distortion and manipulation
of data in research to the issue of access denial and parental alienation.
The members of the audience that spoke from the floor after each session
brought forth many examples of how it is the system, not women, that they
see as the cause of so much of their trouble.
The anger, frustration and despair that was evident in their comments is
proof that something must be done to rectify this intolerable situation.
Hazel McBride, a clinical psychologist, brought the crowd to it's feet when
she stated that the most abuse of children and men is coming from the
state.
Social Worker Dennis Pringle made many insightful comments regarding false
claims of abuse, saying "There is something fundamentally wrong with a
society that elevates lying to an act of virtue"
He made the statement, one that I am in total agreement with, that elements
of the Social Service field "engage in a Marxist-Feminist Agenda that
allows them to circumvent and corrupt the Justice System to pursue their
own goals".
           
He ended his presentation with a call for lessening of state intervention
and for people to take responsibility for their own actions and beliefs,
and deal with their own problems.
Lawyer Alan Gold ended his presentatioon with this comment on False Claims
of Abuse. "How does falsely convicting someone of abuse help the real
victims".
Senator Anne Cools closed the conference by pledging to use her position as
a Senator to help men reach an equal status in the family court system.
I  brought home so much material and notes from the conference that it will
take a few days to sort it all out. I will be posting more of what each
speaker had to say over the next week or so. Stay tuned.
