Also people, don't forget THIS IS NOT  a Thinkpad matter. IT IS an 
eCS1.1 installer matter. For since eCS1.1 minute one this phenomena is 
showing up on various type of systems: scsi, desktop IDE, notebooks 
etc... The only commun factor I can see so far is are new(er) mobo.

Anyway, I'll ask for someone 1.1 to check what it will do.
