The theory at least. Unfournately the application is not there. I'm looking at this from a scientific point of view as well. I used to post when I posted over 300 msgs. This packet barely 140. That's half gone in just 5-6 years. Because no one posts anymore. Posting is why I'm here. Not the games. If it goes away then... I fought this choice for a year..in some cases up to 3 years. I see the reality of things out there. Fidonet nodelist used to be 3 megs in its day. Now its not even 100k. We used to be at what 40k nodes now down to a few hundred if that? I could stay for years and years and be the last one. But to keep the bbs running but is it worth it anymore? I rather get out now than be the last node in fidonet talking to myself :) There are about a dozen other reasons. It can leave me more time for my other projects and such. I will miss the stuff but I may not be all gone. Just as a sysop. I may still telnet and read fidonet. If I can find a good bbs. --- Fringe BBS* Origin: The Fringe BBS - Only the best >TG< - 904-733-1721 (1:112/91) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 112/91 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
