Dear Lee Ann,
I used to do shuttle tatting but my arthritis now precludes that. I am
trying to learn needle tatting. The advantage of nt is that although the
result looks the same, the movements for nt are large and visibile, while st
are small and short. The needle you would need is available as a 'doll
makers needle [or any other long needle that has an eye large enough to take
the size thread you want to use.] If the needle is sharp, i would advise
wearing down the tip by rubbing it on cement or something. Otherwise you
may get a lot of holes in you.
I can get started fine but there is one point where i hit a snag. I
need an "angel on my sholder" that knows how, to watch and tell me what i am
doing wrong. So far, i haven't found one.
Shalom, the Lily Lady
