I've *been* watching it - the rain, that is.  Rained a bit on Sunday, started again
Monday morning and has continued off and on since (it is off at the moment, but
threatening; lots of flashes and bangs throughout the night, including one really 
close strike around 0700 this morning).  I'd put an empty 5 gallon bucket out in
the yard Monday afternoon, it is now about half full, so there's been about four
inches of rain here since then - the radio reports between 1.5 and 5 inches
depending on the location, the station covers most of southwest Iowa and northwest
Missouri.

I suppose that the lawn is going to start growing again ...
