Sounds to me from the message that your problem is with the HD or FD drivers,
not the processor.
Make sure you have added the latest IBM IDE drivers to your install disk or
CD. If it's a USB floppy drive you'll need to add them to the diskette as
well if you're installing by booting from diskettes before accessing the CD.

OS/2 should run on a P4 without problems.
