One of the better books on the subject--per other folk who do much more with 
polymer clay than I do--is THE NEW CLAY by Nan Roche. ISBN 0-9620543-4-8, my 
copy bears a price of $24.95, it is a paperback.  You might want to look it 
up in a bookstore before ordering to see if it is what you want.  Good luck!
