That it is. I've got a 4G USB stick in my pocket with my development
"computer" in it as a virtual image, and all sources sitting on
my server in a VCS, so I can basically just plug the USB stick in and
continue working wherever, whenever, and with whatever computer happens to
be around. Want to try some new component, or upgrade some development
tools - simply make a copy of the virtual image and I'm in business; if it
turns out to break something, it takes about two minutes to revert back to
the previous state.
The only problem is that it's slow on anything except real fast host
computers. Delphi 2006, which is what I'm using, is slower than a snail
glued to the floor, and in a VM, well, it's so slow that it's almost going
backwards... Hope they'll get it snappier with the next batch of updates,
'cause then this setup would be mighty sweet.

Well I got a case of beer (my father in law always buys me a case of beer
for birthday and christmas) and Band Of Brothers DVD box, so I can't
complain much really - the beer's all gone already (well duh!), but the
Band of Brothers series is really enjoyable.
