Yeah.  This reminds me of some site that I hit that was apparently having a
lot of problems with people downloading large amounts of stuff.  So they
put a limit into effect.  The only thing was,  the limit involved their
site giving you a cookie,  and I have my browser set to "ask", 
so each time it'd ask me I'd reject it,  and go ahead with what I wanted to
download.  I don't think I came anywhere near their limit,  but it was
silly how easy it was to cicumvent that.  I ran across a reference
somewhere else that involved javascript,  as well,  where they'd used it to
put something in place that was supposed to deal with a spam problem,  but
that had no effect whatsoever if you had javascript turned off.
