Thanks, Jack, I was sure that the tranny was not original equipment and I was
and still am curious if this was something that was unusual or do I have one
of a kind. I think this car was originally purchased in San Francisco, and
with the hills, it is my guess that the original owner probably had the auto
trans installed at the dealer because of the hills he may have had to drive.
Who ever installed it put in a new steering wheel and shifter and it really
looks like it is original although I know it is not.
