Howdy, Jonathan!

Hmmm.... How does it rank amongst the others in speed of .EXE's,
durability, and expandability? I want something that will grow with me as
I learn more. I'm a pretty voracious learner and want something that will
still be useful a year down the road. Does Borland fit this catagory? I
really like Borland's other products... Is Borland C++ like a Turbo C++ or
more of an ANSI C++?

:) I have heard that it is quite technical. Time to run down to BookStop
and see what they have in that department.

Would you suggest learning C++ in a DOS environment first, or is it
possible to start out in OS/2?

Most definitely... I prefer text stuff myself, although someday, I want to
dabble in PM. My interest in programming is writing little daemons that
keep my system running smoothly while I'm away. I have a few done in REXX
but have run head-first into a tree trying to get into any advanced stuff
such as named-pipes... REXX just won't cut it.

Jambo!
