[missing characters not fixed in this message] You know what it's like when you go to the mechanic and are unable to demonstrate that "knock" in the engine that *always* occurs! I too no longer have the original message of yours that when selecting "reply" exhibited that "fault"! I went back through the Yahoo archive for September and couldn't see the specific example demonstrated there either, so as I hadn't noticed this "fault" previously, and having just recently "upgraded" my mail from OS2WEB V2.01 [Mozilla 1.4?] to V2.03 [Mozilla 1.6], with which I have recently discovered that the "Smileys" don't work** - on any installation, I can only conclude that the "fault" was associated with V2.03, not your original message. Looking at the message I'm replying to, and comparing to this one in preparation, the quoted "S" of Stephen, following "Reply to message" is missing in this reply, but not in original, and the exact same thing has occurred with the "H" of HI following "without verifying.", so it's definitely the Mail component of IWB V2.03 that's doing it. ** I display all inbound messages in regular variable-width font, with "quoted" text in the same font but italicized and in blue. I compose replies in html-mode, and then send group messages as "plain-text". If using FastBack/2, I have that setup to automatically verify the data written on a separate pass. I don't use Windows to burn anything. Reverting to a previous message in the thread, where you mentioned RW-speed of DVD-writers, that speed of 4.37GB in 15 minutes is very good, but noting that equates to 298MB/minute, it's not that much faster than current-generation [32x re-write] CD-RW drives, just has the additional capacity. 32x CD-RW equates to 150*1024*32 [4,915,200] bytes/second or 4,915,200*60 [294,912,000] bytes/minute = 281.25MB/minute. Similarly 52x CD-R speed is 457.03MB/minute which is great for jobs only requiring CD-capacity! -- Regards, Mike Failed the exam for -------------------- MCSE - Minesweeper Consultant and Solitaire Expert -------------------- [ISP blocks *.exe, *.cmd, *.bat, *.reg attachments] [Please use zipped versions of above] ------------------------ Yahoo!
