Hi. I am using CA-Realizer for OS/2 to make a litle text editor. Anyway,
I am having trouble with the open dialog commands. I have the following in
my code.
FileName=StdOpen("*.*")
IF FileName" " THEN
FileOpen(1, FileName, _ReadWrite)
END IF
The first line sets the variable, 'FileName' equal to the user-selected
file in the StdOpen dialog box. The *.* gives the filter for the files to
list. The second line makes sure that the file given is not an empty
string (in other words, the user did not press cancel.). If it is not, It
opens the file, generates an ID of 1 for the variable, and lets the user
Read and Write to the file.
However, when you run this, I select the ASCII file I want to open, and
press OK...Nothing happens though...I have a text log that the Open Box
passes the file to, but no words ever show up anywhere, I even minimized
everything just to make sure it wasn't hiding.
Can anyone help....PLEASE!!!
Thanks...
