The specs say it has a rtn> floppy connecter, but I cant see one in the picture. And,no rtn> IDE connecters ! what site are you looking at? i'm looking at one right now at http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboards/display/abit-kv7_2.html and it appears to me that there is a connector on the left side as well as the two in the bottom left... there's also a white block on the bottom left corner that may also be a connector... aren't serial ata connectors ide connectors? don't get confused by the actual use of the terminology... IDE means Integrated Device Electronics... instead of the old methods of MFM and RLL where you had the controller on a card that you connected the drive to, IDE puts the controller on the drive and your cable connects to an /interface/ card instead of a controller card... in further reading of that article on the KV7 (which BTW is designed for lowend budget systems), i see that my first "impressions" of those connectors is correct... the one on the left is the floppy connector and the two in blue to the bottom left are the ide connectors... )\/(ark* Origin: (1:3634/12) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 3634/12 106/2000 633/267 |
