I'd say that it's because RSJ by default removes the ability of the CDRW to be seen/used as a normal CD-ROM drive. If there are no CD-ROM drives present - os2cdrom.dmd will not load. A few ways around this - one is removing lockcdr.flt - the best (IMHO) is using daniatapi.flt in place of the IBM atapi driver - and following the instructions in their to make the cdrw usable as a cdrom whilst using RSJ.. (in my case adding /a:1 /u:0 /RSJ to the daniatapi line in config.sys - ie make unit 0 on ide adapter 1 usable with RSJ and as a cdrom drive) Hope this makes sense..
