| subject: | Re: Intel Pentium 4 with OS/2 Warp |
I have a T21 laptop with Ultrabay 2000 and have a floppy and DVD drive that fits into it. They obviously cnnot be swapped during installation. The warp 4 instructions for the laptop say I need to use a serial floppy to install it. I imagine if one has the proper usb drivers to run a usb floppy it should work, but for warp 4 one needs to purchase either the software choice, the warp upgrade or ECS. I had neither floppy, so I chose purchasing ECS which installed nicely from the self booting CDrom. So I would conclude the cheapest route is to find a serial floppy to borrow or find cheap, or the best route is upgrade to ECS 1.1. One other thought is to try to make a bootable warp 4 install disk, but I haven't heard of many having luck doing this, I sure did not.
