Unfortunately, you are quite correct.  And the fact that the sheeple and
skeptiks just WON'T believe anything which the Govt won't admit to.

Very true.  However the Air Force, (and those who cannot be convinced of
the obvious, let alone convincing reports of ET's), will try to find ANY
explaination which does NOT include such things, no matter how totally
rediculious they may be.  For example, one UFO report I read said that
the unidentified object in broad daylight was the planet Venus, including
the statement that Venus was six times brighter than the surrounding sky,
when in fact, six times brighter than the surrounding sky would be barely
visible!  Not to mention the fact that the object was described as "very
bright," and Venus was in a different part of the sky!  But the O-fishy
explaination by the U.S. Govt was, "It was the planet Venus.  Period!"
And so the sheeple believe that it WAS the planet Venus, and nothing can
shake their conviction because "The Govt. investigation PROVED that it
was Venus, so it COULDN'T have been anything else!"   Duh!

We discussed this months ago.  I would be really interested to know how
such a detector would operate.  I don't think I would depend on neutron
emissions, however, since some or all such craft MAY not use atomic power
sources, or might have their reactors shielded well enough that the
radiation wouldn't go above the local background count.  Have you
considered using magnetic and/or gravitational detectors?  Strong
rotating magnetic fields have been observed when UFOs are in the
vicinity, and if a bunch of accounts I have read, which say that they use
a gravity drive have any validity, a gravitometer - basically a weight
acting against a spring - should be able to detect them.

Of course!  Perhaps if you told them you were looking for a link between
gravitation, magnetic anomolies and neutron emission of the planet, or
some such, you might get it approved.

Those sound like interesting projects, and yes, the military does take
great interest in anything which can be used as a weapon.  Rail guns
have, a lot of potential for high-velocity projectiles, including
"shooting" objects clear into orbit without using rockets.  I have not
heard of sonoluminescence before, however I am aware of cavitation,
(which has many effects, including making submarines "noisy"), but I
was unaware that the related effect of light production.  I do know
that the wake of ships at night can often be seen, however I read that
this is caused by luminescent alge being stirred up by the screw.
