Hi Carol,
CS> I'm back! By popular demand! 2TALL! ROFL!
Good to see you back! Since Steve got back from Korea at the end of
March, I've not used the internet for beans.
CS> Gosh I've missed this place. Been so busy this year with stuff
CS> that I'm just now finally able to get back into crafting. Was busy
I thought I'd be able to get into more diversified crafting this year
but haven't yet. Our older daughter is getting married next month & I'm
doing the dresses for her party, 5 in all. Hopefully I'll be able to do
something I want to do after the end of June.
CS> Looked in MA. also but properties are too high there for me. Anyway
When we were at Fort Devens for 6 months, I heard somebody refer to the
state as "Tax-ichussetts." I know we lived on post because rentals were
so high and we knew we would be there a very short time.
CS> I have a miniature doll house that I'm gonna start putting together
CS> some- time this week and use it as a bird house for my birds outside.
That sounds cute; are you going to do it before you move?
 CS> I suppose I shouldn't have said that I haven't done any crafts this
CS> year because I have made some ornaments using clear rounded, oval
CS> shaped plastic balls. I made the ornament with seashells, flowers,
I filled one with mini sachets for a gift once; the recipient just hung
it "as is" because she liked the effect.
CS> internet. Just completed making 12 refrigerator magnets for an
 CS> used
CS> various paper cutters with various shapes to trim around them. I than
CS> laid liquid laminate with a brush on each of them. Came out pretty
CS> nice if I say so myself. I never cease to amaze myself at what I can
CS> come up with at time.
Steve got a new printer that can do the tee shirt transfers so we're
playing around with ideas for that. Have to get the file from the
friend who did my business cards so we can put them on a transfer. The
Pooh magnets sound cute; Deborah came back from Disneyland with a Pooh
bumblebee stuffed toy.
It's fun coming up with new ideas, isn't it? Last year my MIL was here
for her birthday so I bought a tee shirt and co-ordinating bandanna. I
cut the bandanna on the diagonal into one inch strips, a piece for a
pocket and a mini bandanna. The strips went around the hems of the
sleeves and bottom of the shirt, the pocket at the usual pocket
placement and the mini bandanna around the front of the neck opening.
She was impressed with it and wanted to know where I got the idea. I
told her that I just developed it as I went.
CS> What have you all been working on. Any new crafts I should try out?
I mentioned it above. It amounts to 3 bridesmaid's dresses, one maid of
honor dress and one wedding gown & veil. So far, I've got the first 4
about 80% done and the wedding gown cut out. The big day is June 28 so
I've got to get busy over the next few weeks. As for new crafts, I've
really not tried any, been too busy to work on some of my current
interests.
Catch you later,
Ruth
