If the treaties make US copyright law enforcible in other countries that
signed the treaty, then the same treaty makes Dutch copyright law
enforcible in the US.

Of course they are. at least that is what they think. We shall wait to see
if the court agrees with the prosecution.

With 20/20 hinsight it may indeed have been better not to sign
international aggreements with the US. They always explain eveything to
their own advantage and very seldom hounour their part of the deal.
