subject: is the Tech echo alive?

PM> Nah, I was first.

MK> Not according to the arrival time here or the
MK> date/time stamps on both your and Roy's responses.

 MK> Roy's; 10 Sep 04 11:12:20
 MK> Yours; 10 Sep 04 11:41:18

MK> I think you both are in the same timezone but regardless, I saw Roy's
MK> arrive here before your's. My bet with myself was
MK> the first response would be from Roy and that was
MK> the first one I saw. Also I think he is a bit
MK> further from me, geographically, then you are but
MK> don't quote me on that. He was first so I win the
 MK> bet I had with myself. :-)

I'm located on an island in the mid Atlantic,
a time zone and a half before Roy's position on
the globe, which gives me an hour plus jump on
Roy's time.

If you're curious, the main industry here is filleting
fish, the same fish the male population sets out to catch
at about 6 am each morning - hurricane headed our way or
not. It's because I'm up so early that I got the jump
on Roy.

Alright, you guessed correctly, I'm just jossing yah,
made up all that stuff about fish and the island...
You win the bet with yourself.

The boring truth is that Roy's post didn't appear until
much later, so I assumed I was the only one who replied.
The fish story is more colorful.

Now if I could think up an odd tech problem, maybe
this echo would come back to life.
