I have a USR Courier v.E and a SFM.  They work rather well together.  My
BBS uses the SFM.  My state host for ITCNet has a Courier, and I often
connect at 28.8 to him with the SFM.  I often notice that a Rockwell
technology modem will connect to another Rockwell at 1 speed higher than
Rockwell > USR.  I wouldn't call this behaviour "hate" though.
What model USR are you referring to?
