Kinda sounds like how mine looks this year.  Have seeds to put down now 
where the weeds were.

I've seriously thought of that when I first had this house built.  It's 
all sand here in Georgia, or swamp.  But alas the part I had thought of 
cementing is actually growing a flower bed I started 2 years ago and it 
is finally taking in quite well this year so far.

Only problem I had was the stupid cats using my flower bed as there sand 
box.  Fixed there little butts this year though, I got me some pvc piping, 
and screen fencing and now they are out.   But the little ------- decided 
they wanted to mess with my birds so now I have a bb pistol sitting here 
waiting to have target practice with.  :-) 
 
Started putting my miniature doll house together to use as a bird house 
feeder.  It'll be higher of the ground.  I know! I know! Cats climb!  But 
I'll bet they'll do it only once!  :-)
