Hi Roy, >>>>> Where can I get pointlists of other (not z2) zones? >>>> TTMBOK only Z2 maintains a zone pointlist. >>>> So the anser is: "nowhere" >>> Why? >>> Have nodes from other zones any point? :-) >> I have about 20 points on my system, but no one in Zone 1 has been >> interested in making a point list (so far at least). I'm sure there >> are many other systems like mine with a good number of points, >> though. > When I was a user on net202 BBS', there was a point list passed around > among the net members. That list eventually died, as the points dwindled > to zero. Instead, the NC encouraged those who wanted to be a point to join > Fidonet as a sysop. I was one of those who did that. That's interesting :) And yes, I think that was generally true in Z1.. if a person could get mail going back and forth between his or her system and a host system, we generally encouraged the point to become a sysop.. I still think it's a good idea though I do wish someone would think of a way to entice more of our users back to our echos :) Not an easy thing with the internet msg. boards being used so much.. :( Take care, Janis --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
