I could have directed this at Patrick, but would have had to quote too
much material to get the points connected. Instead, I'll just list some
of the shameful tricks some use in their videos...
1. Deliberately change the sharp object to one that is out of focus. This
makes the object larger, and more "UFO" looking in appearence. This is
done in almost 100 percent of the videos shot. In some instances, the
sharp video is re-shot by the TV station, and then made out of focus.
This is one of my pet peeves.
2. Fail to ever use a tripod, or find a way to steady the camera.
3. Go ga-ga over something as simple as an airplane entering their
video field of view. ...Then jerk the camera around so you can't see
that it's just an airplane.
4. One video I've seen is that of a "box-kite" that is at first steady,
then appears to shoot off at fantastic speed. (because the guy with the
camera jerks the camera to one side to give the illusion of a UFO leaving
the scene "in a hurry.")
5. Always tampering with the camera's controls instead of leaving it
on automatic.
I'm sure some of you have your own pet peeves similar to those I have
described.
Regards,
Jack
