greetings

I am looking for a fully automatic way (event from FrontDoor) to logon to
my ¨ISP and download selected usenet groups. This MUST be a DOS program as
the bbs
system does not have Windows or will ever have it installed. A fellow sysop
¨mentioned that IREX could do this.... but could not tell me how it can be
done
the Irex docs also don't give any info on setting up for NNTP.
I tried NETTAMER but it does not support fully automatic operation and did
¨also try NEWSGATE on the Internet system however this has the drawback
that ¨the bbs system then has to have network support to talk to the
internet ¨system, another software package that was tried was KA9Q but for
some reason ¨when I changed ISP's it refused to connect to port 119.
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
