this sounds like the aka matching is not used when creating the message... are
you sure it is supposed to be being used then?

of the various bbses and bbs/mailer combo packages that i've messed with, i
don't recall any of them using aka matching during message creation... only
with the mailer when connecting to another system... in the netmail area(s),
i've either had separate netmail areas with a specific address defined for each
OR i've had to have an option to choose which address to use in the from header
of the message... i've generally goen with the multiple netmail areas to make
it easier for the users... in fidonet, use the fidonet netmail area... in
foonet, use the foonet netmail area... in barnet, etc...
